Zed Fest challenges you to write a short 10 page low/no budget schlock horror screenplay. You know what Schlock Horror is right? No budget, Crummy locations, Bad camera work, Worse acting, "So bad they are Good", but enjoyable movies?

Selections from the finalist scripts could be made by Zed Fest filmmakers and complied on a special edition Zed Fest DVD* to be premiered at a future Zed Fest film festival.

Get this! Zed Fest Screenplay Contests are judged by active independent filmmakers not by "Hollywood Staff Readers", STORY and STORYTELLING are what?s important to Zed Fest. So even amateur and beginning screenwriters have a fair chance at winning, just tell us a really good scary/funny story that can be made on a shoestring budget, we would love to see it.
